Look at the stars

Sometimes I feel like the stars do shine for me. When I'm with Kestas, it's like everything aligns and becomes more magical.

"Tonight there will be a meteor shower," he said. "Do you think we'd be able to see it from your mom's house?"

"Let's try," I replied.

We gathered snacks and blankets. We bought pizza bagels, donuts and diet coke. We cuddled on the porch and waited for the stars. And they shined. The shooting stars were bright and made us feel like kids again.

Everything with him makes me feel like a kid again.

When he's body surfing waves in Lake Michigan.

Or eating salsa as a full meal.

Or going on night bike rides.

Really anything.
